…but I’m probably going to regret this.

do we have a problem with me che.cking.in?

Starting today I’m going to begin posting to FB more often, and I have a feeling I’m going to regret it.  On this day last year, I declared this date to be “I get on Facebook day.”  (You can probably scroll down and find it on my FB page.  It’s not like I’ve been on much since.)  This was because I’m pretty much never on FB unless I’m developing an app or drinking and one day a year seemed more than sufficient. (Although this may have some how contributed to the rumors that I was dead.  I assure when I actually do die, Facebook will not tell you.)  Well it lasted all of one year.

A few posts ago, I said I always wanted one of those domains where the subdomain, domain, and tld worked together to create a word or something.  Hence, che.cking.in.  (I actually have about a half dozen of them now.  I went on a bit of a buying spree.)  Well something else I always wanted to do was to setup a site so that it automatically posted to all the social networks when you made a post.  As it turns out, the Jetpack plugin already does that and I just needed to turn it on.

Now, I don’t like that it says “posted using WordPress.com” and would rather design my own app, but since I don’t really have time to actually work on this site beyond posting occasionally, this will have to do.  And since I figured this was the one day of the year that I’m actually supposed to get on FB, I figured today was as good a day as any to start.  But I have a feeling I’m going to regret it.

As I said from the beginning, I post here for my own personal amusement.  I really could care less if anyone actually reads them.  Technically I have the same rule for my FB account.  I don’t think there is a single friend on my list that is there because I sent them a friend request.  I could be wrong, but if I am it’s by like only one or two (no you are not special.  I was probably drunk.)  So, my policy is you asked to be here, if you don’t like what I have to say you’re free to leave anytime.  And people do.  Somebody actually unfriended me on my birthday.  I still haven’t gotten to the bottom of that one.

Of course, since I never actually post anything to FB, this hasn’t really been a problem up until now.  Now, these posts are going to get posted to FB.  Let’s see what happens.

And just to kick it all off, I’d like you to appreciate the picture I have added up at the top of this post.  Because I’m now posting to FB, I need to include a picture with my posts.  And because I don’t really feel like finding a picture for every post, I did a quick Google search to find out how to setup a default picture for FB every time I put up a post without one.

Then I had to find a picture.  I was just going to go with some generic symbol or something, but then I went over to Freeimages.com and this just happened to pop.  It’s called “Do we have a problem?”  I thought it fit my sentiments exactly, and it is now my default picture.  Feel free to file any grievances you may have with the picture or anything else on this site with the guy in the picture. 🙂 … wait is there a gun emoticon? …Google search… Of course not, damn PC police… Hold on…Google search…Problem solved…Found a plugin.  Surprisingly emoji plugins are not very popular.  Maybe there is hope for humanity yet.

Anyway, where was I…oh yeah. Wait that’s not big enough… Ooooh Yeah.  Now do we have a problem?  Wait… even better.  Good lord, what I have started. It’s like crack.  There’s so many choices. Oh god I’m becoming one of those people. Get me out of here!!!
